The Gross Capacity for each of the 10 Venues is not yet final. However,based on the anticipated Gross Capacities for the 10 Venues and the Match Calendar, the Gross Capacity is currently estimated at 3,701,741 seats. The estimated Gross Capacities for each venue are as follows:

The Gross Capacity is comprised of the following:
• Contingency Reserves (e.g. the removal of seats in order to erect
camera positions, seats blocked due to obstructed views, security considerations and various other operational reasons) which is currently estimated by FIFA at 348,449 seats (9.41% of Gross Capacity) spread across the 64 matches. It is important to note that a majority of these seats will eventually be made available for sale to the general public once all planning for the ticketing operation has been finalised
• The Seating Capacity (see Section 2.1.2 below)
The total Seating Capacity is calculated by deducting the Contingency Reserves from the Gross Capacity. The total Seating Capacity is currently estimated at 3,353,292 Seats (90.59% of Gross Capacity).The Seating Capacity is comprised of the following:
• 198,694 Complimentary Tickets, the majority of which are the 120,000 Category 4 tickets reserved to the 2010 FIFA World Cup Ticket Fund for members of the general public resident in South Africa.
• The Media Tribune, which has not yet been configured for all 64 matches. At this stage, FIFA has reserved a total of 83,260 complimentary seats to accommodate the TV / Radio commentary
positions, the press desks and the Observer and Photographer Seats.
• The VIP Tribune, which has not yet been configured for all 64 matches. At this stage, FIFA has reserved a total of 41,260 complimentary seats for the VIP Tribune.
;• The Purchasable Tickets (see Section 2.1.3 below)
The total number of Purchasable Tickets is calculated by deducting the Complimentary Tickets, the VIP Tribune and the Media Tribune from the Seating Capacity and is currently estimated at 3,030,077 tickets (81.86% of the Gross Capacity). The Purchasable Tickets are reserved for Customer Groups for whom certain ticket quotas have been allocated and for the general public. A number of Customer Groups have been granted the option or have acquired the option to purchase tickets. These ticket purchase options are stipulated in either the FIFA Ticketing Regulations or the contractual arrangements between FIFA and certain Customer Groups.
The following Purchasable Tickets have been reserved for Customer Groups that have or will acquire the option to purchase tickets.
Commercial Affiliates<
A total of 550,106 Purchasable Tickets are allocated for the Commercial
Affiliates.
These Commercial Affiliates historically use approximately 80% of the tickets they purchase for consumer promotions where the end beneficiary is a member of the general public.
The Hospitality Rights Holder
380,000 Purchasable Tickets are allocated to the Hospitality Rights Holder including all 180,162 Sky Box Seats and 199,838 Category 1
Seats.
Broadcast Partners
66,140 Purchasable Tickets are allocated to the Broadcast Partners.Any tickets that have been reserved for the Commercial Affiliates, the Hospitality Rights Holder and Broadcast Partners which are ultimately not purchased by them will be redistributed for sale through the domestic and international general public sales channels.
The following Purchasable Tickets have been reserved for Customer Groups that have or will be granted the option to purchase tickets.
FIFA
195,203 Purchasable Tickets have been allocated to FIFA for
the Non Participating Member Associations, the Continental
Confederations and other FIFA Customer Groups.
The Organising Committee
90,902 Purchasable Tickets have been allocated to the OC in order to give access to tickets on a purchasable basis to National, Provincial, and Host City Municipal Government guests among other OC Ticketing Customer Groups.
The Participating Member Associations Football Family
89,600 Purchasable Tickets have been allocated for the Football Families of the Participating Member Associations (PMA). This allocation consists of 700 tickets per PMA per match for all matches they play and are intended to accommodate the PMA officials and guests.
The initial General Public Allocation of Purchasable Tickets consists of 1,658,126 tickets (54.7% of all Purchasable Tickets). These tickets are available in all ticket categories (except for Sky Box Seats).The initial General Public Allocation consists of; a) the Domestic and International General Public Allocation b) the PMA Supporters’ Allocation, and c) the Tour Operator Programme Allocation:
Domestic & International General Public
A total of 743,965 Purchasable Tickets have been reserved for the general public who wish to apply on-line through www.FIFA.com or over-the-counter at any FNB branch in South Africa. With the exception of Category 4 tickets (which will only be made available to residents of South Africa), all tickets are made available to both the international
and domestic general public with an equal chance of success.
Tickets that have been reserved for any other Customer Group which are ultimately not purchased by them will be redistributed for sale through the domestic and international general public sales channels.
PMA Supporters’ Allocation
A total of 570,161 Purchasable Tickets have been reserved for PMA Supporters. For further details, please refer to Section 5.4 below.
Tour Operator Programme
A total of 344,000 Purchasable Tickets have been reserved for up to 160 Participating Tour Operators that are expected to participate in the FIFA Tour Operator Programme. For further details, please refer to Section 5.2 below.
